Trailblazer Taste Buds
As my first year serving as Chair of the Forsyth Tech Board of Trustees draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on the deep and lasting impact this college has on Forsyth and Stokes Counties. I am proud to stand alongside the students, faculty and staff who make Forsyth Tech a place where hard work leads to opportunity and growth.

John Davenport, Chair, Forsyth Tech Board of Trustees
Forsyth Tech serves as more than just a college campus. It is a partner to local business and industry, helping strengthen our regional workforce. It is a launchpad for recent high school graduates stepping into higher education. It is a place for adults seeking new skills, certifications or a fresh start. And for many, it is simply a place to learn something new, explore a passion or connect with others in the community.
Our Vision 2025 strategic plan launched a new season for Forsyth Tech. We focused on intentional, proactive and relational support structures and boldly challenged the status quo. The result? We more than doubled our three-year completion rate for all students and established Forsyth Tech as a national leader. In 2026, as we launch Vision 2030: Future-Ready By Design. We will continue to innovate and help students achieve their goals as efficiently as possible.
But we cannot do this important work alone. I ask you to consider how Forsyth Tech may have touched your own life. Chances are, this very week, you’ve been helped, served or supported by one of our graduates.
Think about the value of a strong, thriving community college. Consider the sense of place it builds and how you might partner with us whether through financial support, serving on a Business and Industry Leadership Team, mentoring a student, or offering an internship opportunity. Your support helps ensure Forsyth Tech remains a cornerstone of opportunity for everyone we serve.
With gratitude,
John Davenport
