Forsyth Tech Leads State in Community College Health Programs
More personal than commencement, Forsyth Tech’s pinning ceremonies are moments of pure pride – celebrations shared among family, friends and the mentors who supported our students along their journey. For those entering health sciences fields, the pinning ceremony marks the transition from student to professional. Each pin carries deep meaning, and serves as a symbol of skill, compassion and commitment. The next time you see a healthcare professional wearing a pin particular to their profession, pause for a moment to consider where and how they earned this keepsake that they will wear throughout their careers.

During the 2024–2025 academic year, we celebrated more than 350 Trailblazers at six pinning ceremonies across our health sciences programs. These included Associate Degree in Nursing, Certified Nursing Assistant, Cardiovascular Sonography, Computed Tomography Imaging Technology, Dental Assisting, Dental Hygiene, Human Services Technology, Interventional Cardiac and Vascular Technology, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Medical Assisting, Medical Sonography, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Pharmacy Technology, Radiation Therapy Technology, Radiography and Respiratory Therapy.
Forsyth Tech proudly offers more health sciences programs than any other community college in North Carolina – and we’re continuing to expand. With new facilities, partnerships, and opportunities on the horizon, we are preparing even more students for high-demand, high-impact careers in one of our region’s largest fields: healthcare. We cannot wait to celebrate next year’s pinnings with another remarkable group of Trailblazers!
