Forsyth Tech celebrated a record-breaking year in a lot of ways, warranting this special 65th-anniversary edition of our Report to the Community!

Dr. Janet N. Spriggs, college president
Our enrollment during the 2024-2025 school year reached an 11-year high. We are serving more students than ever before. These students are the future of our community – more future nurses, welders, teachers, EMTs, motorcycle mechanics, massage therapists than ever.
We held ribbon-cuttings and groundbreakings, welcomed new coaches for men’s basketball and women’s volleyball and launched new initiatives like NC Community Colleges Boost, all to support our students and ensure their success.
We also dreamed big, listened deeply, and used human-centered design to explore new ways of serving students and connecting with our community. Our partnerships with other colleges expanded, while new collaborations took root. Our students, faculty and staff earned national recognition, and we celebrated a record number of graduates walking across our commencement stage.
It is hard to believe that Forsyth Tech has been blazing trails for 65 years. Your community college has been serving students, supporting workforce development, and empowering communities for more than six and a half decades; that means 65 years of innovating and advancing economic mobility.
Our dedicated staff and faculty could not do it without you and your support. Thank you! We hope you enjoy this special anniversary edition of our Report to the Community, and we hope that you will continue to support the work of your community college. Forsyth Tech truly is #APlaceofPromise for all.
College president
