From Fall Fest to Spring Fling, Spirit Soars at Forsyth Tech
This academic year at Forsyth Tech was defined by connection, celebration and hands-on learning. Our calendar was packed with moments that brought students, faculty and the community together – from cozy story hours to traditional campuswide festivals.
Blaze’s Reading Time became a favorite moment to participate in and watch. Members of Forsyth Tech’s faculty and staff paused to read to children at the Carol L. Danforth Lab School, sometimes with our beloved mascot, Blaze. The sessions were simple but joyful, and a great reminder of our student-first spirit.

Fall Fest arrived with a wink and a Western hat. Under the theme “Blazing the Rodeo Trail,” Student Life & Engagement hosted family-friendly games and even a mechanical bull, alongside live music by Megan Doss that kept feet tapping all afternoon. The event also included a voter registration drive – a practical campus moment that blended celebration with responsibility.
Winter brought the Jolly Jamboree, which focused on giving back and building community. Santa and Mrs. Claus greeted student-parents and their children, making lists and checking them twice.
Spring Fling was the year’s big party and the launchpad for our 65th anniversary celebrations. Branded as the “65th Anniversary A’fair,” the event transformed the campus into a lively fairground with rides, carnival games and favorite fair foods that drew students across programs and schedules. It was a fitting kickoff to a year of reflection on Forsyth Tech’s long-standing legacy of trailblazing.
One of the sweetest community learning moments came from the Carol L. Danforth Early Childhood Lab. Young learners planned and ran a lemonade stand, practicing counting, customer service and teamwork while sharing smiles with the whole campus.
Together these events showed how campus life blends learning with belonging. Thanks to the students, staff and volunteers who organized, attended and supported every moment – and to Blaze, who reminded us that small traditions make a big difference.
