Trailblazer Taste Buds
Welcome Week at Forsyth Tech in Fall 2024 offered students a variety of opportunities to get connected and feel at home across all locations.
On Main Campus, Welcome Back Wayfinding Stations were set up throughout the week to help students find their classes and answer general questions. Staff members greeted students and offered directions, helping to make the start of the semester easier for everyone.
The Trailblazer Resources Rally brought together student clubs, organizations and college departments in one place. Students stopped by to learn about available resources and explore ways to get involved on campus.
Mid-week, Forsyth Tech celebrated Blaze, our trailblazing mascot, with a birthday bash. Students enjoyed food, music, games and giveaways while marking Blaze’s special day.
A highlight of the week was the Transportation Technology Center groundbreaking event. Students, faculty and community members gathered to celebrate the start of a major expansion project. As part of the event, a mini-carnival with food and activities gave everyone a chance to join in.
Welcome Week wasn't limited to Main Campus. At the Grady P. Swisher Center, West Campus, Northwest Forsyth Center and Mazie S. Woodruff Center, students were greeted with free welcome gifts. The Forsyth Tech Stokes County Center hosted games on the lawn, providing a relaxed way for students to meet each other. At the Mazie S. Woodruff Aviation Center, students and staff enjoyed a lunchtime cookout together.
Throughout all locations, the focus was on making sure students felt welcomed, informed and ready for a new semester.
