Foundation Gifts Help Trailblazers Rise and Thrive

The Forsyth Tech Foundation continues to play a vital role in advancing the college’s mission by connecting generous donors with opportunities to support student success and community transformation. In 2024–2025, the Foundation’s impact could be felt across every part of campus life – from providing essential support for students through Forsyth Tech Cares to funding scholarships, athletics, and professional development opportunities for both students and employees.

The Foundation also championed key student success initiatives, including College Lift – Forsyth Tech’s comprehensive, multi-year program that helps first-generation and underrepresented students prepare for and succeed in college. Truliant Federal Credit Union’s generous investment in College Lift this year strengthened the program’s reach, expanding its ability to offer mentorship, tutoring and wraparound services to middle and high school students, and their caregivers, as they build pathways to higher education.

Longtime supporters like Mary Tucker embody the spirit of the Foundation’s mission. Now residing in Florida, Mary remains deeply connected to Forsyth Tech after years of service on the Foundation’s board of directors. Her philanthropic vision is guided by a practical appreciation for skills-based education. Through her support – particularly for the welding program – Mary has helped ensure students have access to the hands-on training and modern equipment needed to thrive in today’s workforce.

Mary’s story highlights the heart of the Foundation’s work: empowering students through opportunity, access and the tools to succeed. Her hope for Forsyth Tech’s future – embedding financial literacy into every student’s education – reflects the Foundation’s shared belief that education should prepare learners for both career and life success.

Through the collective generosity of its donors and partners, the Forsyth Tech Foundation continues to fuel innovation and excellence, helping Forsyth Tech achieve the goals set forth in Vision 2025.
